The brutalized body of 24-year-old Mary Lynn Vialpando has been discovered in a back alley. There are almost no clues to who killed her. But Joe Kenda is on the case. When Mary Lynn's husband frantically appears at the crime scene, he becomes suspect number one. But in the first case in Colorado's history to use DNA technology to solve this crime, it would take years for the killer to be caught and for Mary Lynn to receive some measure of justice.
