Jesus Camp follows a group of children as they attend an evangelical Christian summer camp, where they are taught that they have "prophetic gifts" and can "take back America for Christ. The film claims that it "documents and does not judge." But Gillian and Patrick sure do!
Get ready for some good old fashioned speaking in tongues, Jesus hip-hop, climate change denial, and a complete dismissal of science, some SUPER intense kiddos, and even a dance number or two! But leave your "Harry Potter" books at home, because...well...you'll see.
Just listened to the Jesus Camp episode — the bit about the kids being taught they have "prophetic gifts" and can "take back America for Christ" was wild, and Gillian and Patrick's reactions made it even better. It got me thinking about how much image editing shapes the way stories like this get framed, which is why I've been using blenvero (https://blenvero.com) to merge photos with matched lighting and scale for my own projects.
Just listened to the Jesus Camp episode — the bit about the kids being taught they have "prophetic gifts" and can "take back America for Christ" was wild, and Gillian and Patrick's reactions made it even better. It actually got me thinking about how much I enjoy turning photos into pixel patterns, which is what I do with PixelBeads (https://www.pixelbeads.io/) — upload an image, pick a palette, and export a printable chart for perler beads or Minecraft builds.
The Jesus Camp episode is a wild ride — the "prophetic gifts" and Jesus hip-hop segments had me laughing out loud. It's a good reminder that reviewing things carefully matters, whether it's a documentary's claims or auto-generated subtitles. I've been using https://www.subtitlegenerator.net/ to catch the moments AI mishears and fix them quickly.

I remember watching Jesus Camp years ago and feeling pretty unsettled by the whole thing. The intensity was a lot to process. It made me think about how we present faith to younger kids and what sticks with them long term. For our family, we lean into simpler, gentler messages. There are some great bible verses for kids that focus on kindness and reassurance rather than fear. It's a completely different vibe, and honestly, it feels like a healthier starting point for little ones.
