Jesus Camp follows a group of children as they attend an evangelical Christian summer camp, where they are taught that they have "prophetic gifts" and can "take back America for Christ. The film claims that it "documents and does not judge." But Gillian and Patrick sure do!
Get ready for some good old fashioned speaking in tongues, Jesus hip-hop, climate change denial, and a complete dismissal of science, some SUPER intense kiddos, and even a dance number or two! But leave your "Harry Potter" books at home, because...well...you'll see.

Oh my gosh, this episode was an absolute wild ride! Jesus Camp is so incredibly deeply unsettling, and my heart broke for those kids, but Patrick and Gillian’s hilarious commentary is the only thing that got me through it without losing my mind. Honestly, whenever I finish a super heavy true crime or documentary episode like this, I have to immediately find something completely mindless and joyful to cleanse my mental palate. Lately, I've been hopping on minigame to smash some colorful casual games for 10 minutes—it's the perfect, silly brain-scrub after being completely stressed out. Anyone else need a total mental reset after this one? Down with the garbage! Lol!
This episode dives into the intense world of evangelical summer camps, blending shocking moments with humor. It's a wild ride of fervent beliefs and unexpected dance numbers, reminding us that sometimes, trees hate you.
An episode that's both shocking and hilarious, as “Jesus Camp” exposes the craziness to Retro Bowl its unbelievable extent — and Gillian and Patrick are free to satirize every moment.
