In the spring of 1992, a madman terrorized the Midwest, killing at least six people and using Interstate 70 as both his killing field and escape route. In one of the most FRUSTRATING cases we've ever covered, there were witnesses, composite sketches, and even surveillance video, but somehow the killer has never been caught. But there were bright spots in the investigation, too - LIKE THE SURVIVOR WHO REFUSED SURGERY WHEN SHE WAS TOLD THERE WAS ONLY A 50% SURVIVAL RATE AND NOW, FULLY RECOVERED THANKS TO HER OWN BADASSERY, LIVES WITH A BULLET LODGED IN HER SPINE.
