Gillian PENSAVALLE 

Gillian Pensavalle (she/her) is a professional podcaster and all around creator.

 

Gillian is the co-host/creator of the top-ranked true crime comedy podcast True Crime Obsessed, where she and Patrick Hinds share their take on true crime documentaries, finding levity in the stories while always advocating for victims and sharing the listeners’ passion for justice. With over 150 million downloads, their coverage of documentaries such as Love Has Won, The Jinx, Fyre Fraud, and Class Action Park has captured the attention of true crime fans everywhere. 

 

In 2022, Gillian was the host and producer of Let The Women Do the Work (a saying often heard on True Crime Obsessed), a limited interview series focusing on the often-overlooked women in true crime and their stories.

 

She launched The Hamilcast: A Hamilton Podcast in January of 2016 and releases weekly episodes hosting Hamilton cast, crew, creatives, musicians, and those in the Lin-Manuel Miranda/Hamilton universe including all four members of the creative team, known as The Cabinet™ (Lin has been on twice!). The podcast is approaching 500 episodes and can be found on the official Hamilton app as well as the usual podcast places. Gillian is the creator, host, editor, and executive producer of this passion project, and loves every second of it. 

 

Teaming up with her husband Michael Paul Smith, Gillian is the co-creator, producer, and star of The Residuals, a successful comedy series based on the couple's real-life auditioning for commercials in New York City. She is also the executive producer of Ted and Michael Read Sketches into Microphones, Mike’s sketch comedy podcast.

 

In December of 2020, Gillian was the executive producer of 'Twas the Night, a free radio play created to raise money for The Actors Fund and help bring holiday cheer in the midst of a pandemic lockdown. It is released every year during the holiday season to continue to help raise funds.

 

Gillian has experience as an actor, voiceover artist, editor, show runner, producer, and on-camera host. A born and raised New Yorker, Gillian lives in Manhattan with her husband Mike and their rescue pup Fiona. Gillian absolutely loves making podcasts and can't believe she gets to do what she loves every day.
